| A nice little tale that is about exactly what you think it is. That is kind of the problem: predictable to a fault, the movie provides nothing to "watch" except the performances, which are pretty good. So we have good acting and good looking costumes and time period echoes....and not much else. It's a cute movie, don't get me wrong, but when you get a cast like this one you kind of expect the movie to match up, and truth be told it does not. It feels like an old movie alright, an old b-movie that will not ever be seen again in 50 years. Plot/Originality - 56 Acting/Characters - 77 Dialouge/Screenplay - 66 Effects/Camerawork - 72 |
