Just Who is This
Doxxman?!?!?!?!?!?!
My name is Trevor Evans-Young. I am from Muscle Shoals/Florence Alabama, and I currently live in
Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I have always had some opinions about a Rock 'n Roll albums ever since I
started collecting them in the summer of 2000. I love when an album is good all the way through, not
just when the first half is the "good half", so consistency is my big concern when reviewing albums.
Yeah, it is good when a record is ambitious, and it is good when something proves influential, but there
are a lot of things that can get confused in this process. For example, usually ambitious albums are
too ambitious and can get weighed down by their own songs and song length. Also, just because
something is influential does not mean it is "the
best of its kind" or "nothing can ever be better than it",
which is what a lot of people think about, say a certain band called The Beatles.
But hey, we all must have our own opinions. That is the amazing thing about the Internet in the 21st
century, music and opinions are shared freely by anyone who wants to than any other time in the
history of our world. I personally don't think my reviews are definitive; my opinions are always open to
change and i am not a historian. I am also not a completest (as of 2005 I wans't, now as of 2006 I
kinda of am more so like...) so many of these artist review banks will not contain all of their albums,
because it is not fun to listen to bad albums. I am not gonna go buy
Go 2 by XTC or any Led Zeppelin
after
Physical Graphiti in a hurry, because i have heard a little of those and a little is enough (moot
point by end 2006, but oh well). An artist should be recognized for the good things he did (true), not
the bad (well, not as much). That is what people care about. I will add though that I love albums that
are overlooked by most and get excited when I find something relatively unknown and overlooked and
can show it to people.
I would love for people to get insightful information out of my reviews. I am not going to worry about
my personal authenticity and all that, just know that what you read on this site came from a guy who
loves the art form of music. That should be enough of a reason to relax and enjoy this free exchange
of ideas called the World Wide Web.
